Added 12/5/11...Some have approached me with a desire to help out with a donation with no need of a shirt. We are not officially fundraising, but I have set up a button for those wanting to donate. It makes it easier for us and also allows for the ones donating to receive a receipt that shows transaction has gone through. Thank you for visiting our page even if you don't donate or purchase a shirt, please continue to encourage him through this fight. =)

Another Alvarez summer fieldtrip, a day at the beach...

After what seemed like endless days of rain, we have enjoyed a good steady dry spell the last couple of days. The Shermans and us enjoyed a day basking in the Florida sun. The kids had fun catching waves on their boogie boards and playing in the sand.

Catching some waves...

Off to catch some waves...
Lauryn loves the water, she is our little mermaid. Quick break before going back in.
Believe it or not, Taylor and Logan caught a seahorse. You can't tell by the picture, but that fuzzy thing you see on the bottom left is the top of it. Pretty cool, huh?
And they also caught some fish. There were fish everywhere! They put this one in the bucket to come and show us. Don't worry, they let all the sea creatures go back to their natural habitat.
Digging a huge hole in the sand and then filling it up with water. Why? Just because it's fun! =)
All the buckets put together make a pretty cool collection. They are all full waiting for the diggers to complete their task.

Nati graduates from pre-school. Kindergarten here I come!!

My little one graduated from Pre-school! Here are some pictures of her presentation.

Lauryn turns 10!

Lauryn turns 10!

For her birthday, Lauryn asked if she could take a couple of friends ice skating. It was tons of fun! We can't believe our little girl is already 10! WOW, time flies. I still remember the day I held her in my arms after she was born. It was one of the happiest days of my life. Now I feel blessed to have had her for 10 wonderful years. She is not a little girl anymore and I miss the days Minnie Mouse excited her to tears, but I am looking forward to seeing her grow.

Alvarez Kids Summer Fieldtrips =)

After many months of not being able to go, we finally had the opportunity to visit Busch Gardens. We had a great time and were able to visit our favorite areas. Here the girls are in Jungala, a newer exhibit at the park.

Don't ask me what that alligator looking thing is. It also looks like a crocodile but it's neither. It has a weird name and I'm not the technical kind of girl. Crocodile looking thing is good enough for me. =)

Oooohhhhh, we just love the tigers!!

A view from the skyride. We normally take it as soon as we get to the park so we can enjoy the back of the park right away.

This is the water play area at Jungala. We didn't get wet, but it looks like fun!

This is our classic shot with this fountain as our backdrop. They change it every year. This year they took out the flowers and decided to go for the "rock effect". Doesn't really work for me. I like the flowers.

Happy Birthday to us!

Danilo and I both turned 31 the last week of March! It definitely feels better to turn 31 than 29. I guess psychologically it feels better to be in your early thirties than in your late twenties. Our friends Laura and Jeremy Pope hosted a game night and we had tons of fun with some of our friends! We played games and ate delicious food. One of the games was a karaoke and dance game on the Wii.

The boys took care of the meat. We ate churrasco with chimichurri sauce and sides. Yummy!!!
Here is Jordan busting out his moves while Sarah sings. They got the highest score! Go Glancys!!
Mic check... Danilo and I get ready to sing...

Here is our American Idol moment. Wait...what is that in Danilo's ears?

Now it's his turn...

Kassi, Sarah and Jordan

Cindy and Ariel really went all out, coordinating their dance moves and singing. They are real experts...is this what they do in their spare time? Looking good Cindy!
Jordan and Sarah, the newlyweds. Awwww...

Kassi stepped out for a second to pick up Brooklyn. Then it was Barry's turn to do a duet with Ariel..."When you look me in the eyes, and tell me that you love me". I think this was torture for both of them, although you can't tell from the picture since Ariel seems to really be enjoying this.

Our birthday cake. Sorry it's sideways...
And last but not least a video of us singing Happy Birthday! As you can tell from the video, we thought we were posing for a picture. Very funny Jeremy, turns out we look like fools! LOL

Thank you Jeremy and Laura for making this birthday so special. We had an awesome time!!
